Firaxis’s Civilization, Games and Education

The game company Firaxis, makers of Sid Meier’s “Civilization” and other strategy level games,  have a web site devoted to assisting educators in using their games to teach subjects such as world history, military strategy and tactics, conflict resolution, economics, political theory, communication and sociology.  The link is http://www.firaxis.com/educators/.

Features include articles on using games to teach and using the game “Civilization” specifically (“The Civilized Classroom) as well as links to sites and articles for using strategy games to enhance teaching and learning.
